Artificial leg, foot, arm, hand, finger, etc…). A Prosthetist is a health professional skilled in prosthetics and practicing its application in individual cases.
ORTHOSIS: In the Greek language this means “making straight” such as an appliance or apparatus used to support, align, prevent, or correct deformities or to improve the function of movable parts of the body (ex. Brace for knee, hip, spine, ankle/foot, hand, etc…). An Orthotist is a health professional skilled in orthotics who is knowledgeable about all aspects of orthotics.
